Job Requirements for CARPENTER
- Constructs, erects, installs and repairs structures and fixtures of wood using carpenter trade tools
- Studies blueprints, sketches, building plans for information pertaining to type of material required
- Constructs forms and chutes for pouring concrete
- Erects scaffolding and ladders for structural assemblage
- Communicates with managers, peers and subordinates providing information by phone, text, written form, email or in person
- Analyze information and evaluate results to choose the best solution and solve problems
- Develop specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize and accomplish work
- Inspect equipment, structures or material to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects
- Mentor those with lesser knowledge of the trade
- Operate applicable equipment ie. manlifts, forklifts, etc. when Company certified
- Promote a safe work environment conforming to industry standards.
- Perform trade work as needed to meet the project deadlines
- Abide by all rules of the employer.
